[Dev] ZipTie 2007.09 Release Candidate 1

We have a ZipTie 2007.09 Release Candidate.

Please go ahead and download it from
http://www.ziptie.org/builds/ZipTie-2007.09-RC1/
and give a test run.

There have been major changes since the 2007.06 release, ZipTie is no
longer a client
only application, it contains an enterprise grade server and a Eclipse
based rich client.

The pre-requisites for the client and the server on Windows and Linux
are listed below.
Installers for Mac OS X are coming soon (in the next one week).

Windows Server Pre-reqs:
   - Installer available
   - JDK 1.5 or above
   - ActiveState Perl 5.8+ (latest recommended)
   - (nmap if nmap tool support is desired)

Windows Client Pre-reqs:
   - Installer available
   - JRE 1.5 or above

Linux Server Pre-reqs:
   - RPM installer available, Ubuntu (Debian) installer coming
   - JDK 1.5 or above
   - (nmap if nmap tool support is desired)

Linux Client Pre-reqs:
   - Client tar archive available
   - JRE 1.5 or above


Please use the ZipTie Bugzilla - http://bugs.ziptie.org/index.cgi - to
open
any defects that you find in the release candidate (feel free to submit
any
enhancements also).

The usual set of resources are available if you run into any problems
with the
release candidate or if you have any questions.
